My Burn in 2006
In 2006, I traveled to Oklahoma with my Mom and Papa to visit my Uncle Rob for the Fourth of July. I wanted to ride his horses really bad. I bugged him until he said "OK". He lifted me onto the bare back of his older horse, Hannah. I only had a piece of her mane to hold onto. I was wearing shorts and a tank top, but no shoes. I didn't think that was a problem because my Uncle Rob was leading the horse, and my Papa was walking beside me. As we started for the barn, a younger horse trotted by, making Hannah jumpy. Uncle Rob thought it best to put him in the barn before we took our walk. After we went through the gate, Hannah and I stopped and relaxed. I let go of her mane. Just then, the younger horse walked up to Hannah and nudged her rear. She twisted sideways to get out of his way. I went flying off the other side and landed on the ground. I didn't break any bones, but I had fallen into a smoldering burn pile that my Uncle Rob thought was completely out and cold. I burnt my leg down the whole left side. Thankfully, I only received second degree burns, but my Papa had a broken heart. Healing began immediately. The worst part was when they cleaned the burn. The doctors said I was really brave because I didn't cry. My mom said I must have a high pain tolerance. She would have cleaned the burn if she had to, but she said it was hard to do it to her"baby". That was OK, because I only wanted my Papa to do it. I can't explain it, but I have a bond with my Papa. I knew that he was the one that would take care of my leg. And he did - every day. The good news is that I have a cool scar that most people don't even notice. I got to meet my country music singer cousin, Keith Anderson because of my burn (his doctor treated me). Keith is from Miami, OK. And, I have a good story to tell others. Don't you agree?

Goat Style
IT'S THE DAY BEFORE THE KY STATE FAIR !Henry is just chilling while he gets a professional hair cut and a manicure/pedicure by the professional. As you can see the stylist is well focused in her work. She was just making sure he wanted the pink fingernail polish instead of the blue polish. Henry asks her if he could get the lime green color instead because it brings out the MAN in him, it goes nicely with his black coat too. After Henry is done, he looks fit to be a winner.

My Goat, Henry
NOTICE: The plastic and all of the towels and that thing in the back seat of our Honda Accord. This would not have happened if this thing we call a goat in the middle of the picture wouldn't have gotten sick around April after i bought him. Henry is my best buddy now and is a nice goat. As we get ready for state fair my little athlete is going through hard labor and much endurance. Really the only one going through all that and having to deal with the snotty nose "kid" Henry every other day is me. But he really isn't that snotty nose he's just being a goat. That is why i love my little Henry.
